Japan continues to prove that it is one of the most interesting national teams of recent years.

After the 2022 World Cup, where they surprised everyone by defeating Germany and Spain before being eliminated only on penalties against Croatia, the Samurai Blue seem to have kept the same identity: intensity, organization, and the ability to strike at the right moments.

Against Tunisia, they secured a convincing 4–0 victory, but the score only tells part of the story. Japan took control of the match from the opening minutes, pressing high and moving the ball at great speed. Kamada opened the scoring almost immediately, then Ueda put the game out of reach with a brace before Ito completed the rout.

What stands out is not just the result — it’s the feeling that this team always knows what to do on the pitch.

Even when they don’t dominate physically, they create advantages through movement and technical quality. And maybe that’s exactly what makes Japan such an enjoyable team to watch.

If they continue playing with this level of spirit and quality, there is every reason to believe they could make another deep run in this tournament.
