This month I managed to reach Legend starting from D5, using a deck built around Librams, but not the classic Lynessa Paladin that you usually see on ladder.
The idea behind the deck was different: instead of relying on the usual combo turns, I built a list that focused heavily on discounting Librams early and then exploding during the most important turns of the game.
The strongest turns were usually between turn 6 and turn 8, where it became possible to pull off some really powerful sequences: equipping a weapon, summoning three 3/3 Divine Shield minions, while still developing pressure on the board.
At first, the deck felt a little slow. The opening turns were rarely dominant, and against aggressive archetypes you had to manage your resources carefully.
But once the game reached the mid game, everything changed.
Thanks to all the discounts accumulated earlier, the deck started chaining together explosive turns where the board suddenly filled with threats that were difficult to answer all at once.
Many games looked completely under control for the opponent… until a single power turn flipped the pace of the match entirely.
It may not be the most popular Libram Paladin list on ladder, but it ended up being one of the most fun and satisfying decks I’ve played on my climb to Legend.
